The Golden Globes 2012 were as extravagant as ever, featuring Ricky Gervais’s usual combination of rapier wit and general smugness, and a whole range of stunning Swarovski crystal handbags and garments.
Andie Macdowell, star of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Groundhog Day, was wearing a David Meister silver lace gown with Chopard earrings and bracelet, and a dazzling Swarovski charcoal crystal Allegro clutch.

Sarah Hyland, star of hit US sitcom Modern Family, donned a stunning strapless lace Dolce & Gabbana dress and black satin Milady clutch with a Swarovski bow clasp.

Bérénice Bejo, who was nominated at this year’s awards for her appearance in film The Artist, in the category of Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role, chose a sexy strapless Gucci dress, Chopard jewellery and Daniel Swarovski clutch.

The Brits were also getting in on the Swarovski action. Kelly Macdonald, who you may remember from Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting, but more recently No Country for Old Men and the hit US drama Broadwalk Empire, wore a short-sleeved green and purple sequin Lorena Sarbu gown complemented perfectly by a glitzy Swarovski green satin Party Time clutch.

Finally, mega-star Charlize Theron, star of Æon Flux, The Italian Job, and winner of Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture at the Golden Globes 2004 for film Monster, veered away from bags and went instead for a sparkly addition to her hair accessories. She wore a spectacular Swarovski encrusted hair band that can probably been seen from space. Good effort to all.
